Monuments Restoration   ::  Completed Projects   ::  2005  ::

Client: Ministry of Antiquities
Description: Archeological buildings
The architectural ensemble is located on Al Moez Street. It was established by Prince Suleiman Agha al-Silhdar, one of the princes of Muhammad Ali Pasha, in the year 1255 AH / 1839 AD, the holder of the position of al-Silhdari “responsible for the armories of weapons.” The most important feature of the building is its stone facade with plant decorations that reflects the influence on the arts of Europe in the Renaissance era. We also find marble decorations and oil colors on the Ottoman-style wooden ceilings influenced by European arts in that period. And among the manifestations of charity in Al-Sabil Building is the presence of a place designated for drinking pets.
Working date: 2003-2005
