Zifta Wastewater Treatment Plant - Al Gharbia - Egypt

Zifta Wastewater Treatment Plant is a part of the infrastructure development projects within the framework of the presidential initiative to develop the Egyptian countryside "Decent Life".

The plant capacity is 20,000m3/day.
This provides sanitation services to approximately 210,000 people, contributing to improved services for residents and enhancing the environmental and health conditions in the area.

The project consists of:
The construction of 66 km of gravity networks and 4 km of force mains, in addition to sedimentation, aeration, and dilution basins. He noted that the plant utilizes an extended aeration system, a modern technology used in wastewater treatment, ensuring the highest levels of operational efficiency and adherence to approved environmental standards. The treatment plant serves several villages and hamlets in Zifta district, including Al Riyad, Al Gharib, and Kafr Abdel Rahman, as well as Zifta city area near El Ashra Bridge, Ezbet Youssef Gabr, Ezbet Ezzat, Ezbet Al Gendy, and Ezbet Al Batrakhana.

The project aims to fully deliver sanitation services to the targeted areas and improve the quality of facilities provided to citizens, ensuring a healthy, safe, and sustainable environment. It also reflects the state's commitment to implementing infrastructure projects according to the highest technical and engineering standards.
