The project is being implemented in 2 phases, including the implementation of water and wastewater infrastructure works.
The first phase:
which included the construction of service buildings, water and wastewater networks, a wastewater treatment plant, an intake, and a drinking water purification plant with a capacity of 60 liters/second, has been completed at a total cost of EGP 145 million.
The second phase:
is currently ongoing, its cost reaching EGP 198 million, including clarifier buildings, filtration building, a timber farm, final wastewater treated channel, a treated water pumping station, connecting pipes between units, landscaping and fencing.
