Cairo Metro Line 3 – Phase 4A (Haroun- El Shams Club) - Egypt

It was opened to the public on 15/6/2019.
It extends 3.7 km from Haroun to El Nozha and includes 4 underground stations (Haroun - Heliopolis - Alf Maskan - El Shams Club).

The length of Phase 4 is 11.5 km, as it extends from Haroun Station beneath Haroun Al-Rasheed Street after its intersection with Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Street to Heliopolis Square, then Alf Maskan Square, downward Gesr El Suez Street to El Shams Club Station, upward the higher bridge and extends from El Nozha Station, then Gesr El Suez Street passing through Qubaa and Omar Ibn El Khattab to reach Hikestep Bridge and extends to Al Asher Parking Lot on Ismailia Desert Road, where Adly Mansout Interchange Station is the major Gow repairing workshop, which is considered the largest one in the Middle East on an area of 65 feddan and was implemented in two parts.
It is worth mentioning that Line 3 extends from Imbaba and El Mohandseen under the Nile bottom down to Adly Mansour Interchange Station.
Line 3 is important because it is the first cross-axis to make the connection between the east and west of Cairo. It achieves interconnection with the various modes of transport through:
Nasser Station: Connect with the first line.
Attaba and Cairo University stations make a connection with Line 2.
Adly Mansour Station: Connection with the LRT (Al-Salam, 10th of Ramadan, the New Administrative Capital).
Wady El Nil Station: Provides exchange service with Monorail of West Nile.
Stadium Station: The service will be exchanged with Monorail of East Nile.
It is 41.2 km long and has 34 stations (21 underground stations, 2 at-grade stations, and 11 elevated stations).
