It is considered the largest bridge crossing the Nile in length, width and wideness of navigation spans. It connects Cairo Easterly and Giza Westerly. It is one of the most important axes to the ring road around Greater Cairo. This bridge connects Alexandria desert road, Fayoum, 6th of October City, East and West Bank of the Nile, South Giza and Upper Egypt. The bridge has 6 inlet and 6 outlet ramps. The length of the bridge is 3km & its width is almost 45m at maximum length and Clearness for navigation opening 150 m
