Monuments Restoration

:: 2026 ::
The development works were carried out in a manner befitting the honorable status of the mosque and the sacred shrine, while ensuring the preservation of its religious, historical, heritage, and archaeological identity. The restoration and development works included the mosque courtyard, the attached buildings and facilities, the external facades, the dome, the minaret, the sacred shrine, and the outer courtyard. This contributed to restoring the mosque and shrine’s beauty and splendor, ensuring their cleanliness and maintenance, and providing all means necessary for their proper upkeep and continued worship.
The works also included the meticulous restoration of the decorative elements on the ceilings of both the men’s and women’s prayer halls, the skylight (Shokhsheikha), and the dome of the mausoleum. In addition, restoration works were carried out on the mosque’s interior elements (doors, windows, wooden latticework, and marble), along with the development and upgrading of the restroom facilities (for men and women). The project further included sound system and camera installations, fire protection systems, as well as landscaping works, and the rehabilitation of the external boundary wall.
As for the works at Al-Masbah Mosque, they included dismantling the minaret and structurally reinforcing the foundations using needle piles, followed by reinstalling the minaret, in addition to restoration works on the facades and some interior elements.
