The Egyptian Senate is a council established within the Egyptian constitutional amendments 2019, but with specific powers and clear tasks, as this council had been excluded in Egypt’s 2014 constitution and was under the name “The Egyptian Shura Council” where the 2014 constitution restricted the legislative authority to the House of Representatives only, to show practical practice The importance of having a second chamber for the legislative authority, especially after evaluating the active role played by the Egyptian Shura Council and its clear fingerprints since its establishment until the issuance of the decision to dissolve it. The Arab Contractors Company (Management of Palaces and Antiquities Maintenance) upgraded the efficiency of the main hall and prepared it to receive the first sessions of the Senate after its election.
