The bridge connects Cairo and Giza governorates with a total length of 2 km and a width ranging from 42 to 45 m. The bridge is constructed using the (BOX GIRDER) construction method and includes ten ramps and ascents. It was executed over three sectors
the first sector:
west of the Nile, with a length of 1,200 km, starting from above the Zomor Canal to the area near the Nile (Al-Munib Road);
the second sector:
crossing the Nile and the Island of Gold with a length of 600 m (6 spans), including 2 spans with 2 navigational openings, each 150 m long and 13 m high, and 4 spans each 75 m long.
The third sector:
east of the Nile, with a length of 800 km, constructed across two branches of the Nile, starting from above the eastern bank of the Nile, then the Maadi Corniche to the Astabl Antar area. The project includes the construction of a steel beam 54 m long, 2.25 m high, and weighing 800 tons using the Lift-Slab method. The construction method for the project used piles with a diameter of 2 meters in the water area and 1.5 and 1.2-meter piles on land.
