The Chairman inspects Cairo Metro Line 4 Project

Eng. Sayed Farouk – CEO & Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, visited Cairo Metro Line 4 project to follow up on the work progress. First, there was a meeting to explore the implementation status of the project. The inspection tour included the stations of the Grand Egyptian Museum no. (4) and El Ahram no. (6). Eng. Sayed Farouk was accompanied by Eng. Osama Moustafa – AC Board Member, Eng. Hossam Fayed – JV Manager, Eng. Mohamed Abou Deshish – Supervisor of the Project, Eng. Abeer Morsi – Project Manager, Eng. Osama Nawar – Manager of Maritime Structures Department, Eng. Aly Abdel Aleem - Deputy Managers of Maritime Structures Department, Eng. Mahmoud El Sayed – Deputy Manager of Foundation Department and Eng. Sayed Saad – Deputy Manager of Civil Works Department. Eng. Abeer Morsi declared that Cairo Metro Line 4 is being implemented under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport and the National Authority for Tunnels. She added that the AC implemented the diaphragm wall of station no. 4 which is in front of the Grand Egyptian Museum. Regarding Al Ahram station no. 6, she explained that the diaphragm wall for the main structure has been completed and added that the work is ongoing in El Talbiya station no. 10. The Chairman inspected the concrete segment production factory that will form the tunnel body. He reviewed the production plans and demanded maximum operating capacity. He also reviewed the mobilization yard for the TBM’s accessories beside station no. 6 to assure its readiness to receive the TBM for the scope of work of the AC. It is a noteworthy that Cairo Metro Line ‎‏4‏‎ – Phase ‎‏1‏, is ‎‏13km length and includes 12 stations: Hadayek El Ashgar ‎- Hadayek El ‎Ahram – El Nasr - Grand ‎Egyptian Museum ‎- El Remaya Square – El Ahram – El Marrioutiya – Al Areesh – El Matbaa – El Talbiya – Madkour - El Mesaha Square. The Arab Contractors ‎Company ‎ "the Consortium Leader" which includes (Petrojet, Concord and Hassan Allam Sons) is carrying out 3 stations of the Grand Egyptian Museum – El Ahram – El Talbiya.‎ ‎Cairo Metro Line ‎‏4‏‎ is the base for linking ‎‏6‏‎ ‎October City and New Cairo with the Metro ‎network. It provides ‎transportation service for the high density population areas in El ‎Haram – Faysal – ‎El Omraniya – Giza. It is expected to transport ‎‏2‏‎ million ‎passengers ‎daily. In addition to these, the transport service will integrate ‎with the Monorail of ‎‏6‏‎ ‎October City.‎
