Minister of
Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Ministry officials and the new Urban
Communities Authority visited New El Alameen City and touring its infrastructure
projects, housing, recreation area, towers area and El Corniche.
The Minister of
Housing stated during his inspection of the touristic sidewalk , carried out by
the Arab Contractors Company, stated that 1km from the East was implemented,
and the completion of the route from the West about 3 km length, and the completion
of 1600 ml from the West and cultivated with palm trees. The Minister and his
companions also visited the pedestrian crossover at the sea strait No. 4, where
the 700ml bridge will be accomplished and the printed concrete sidewalk leading
to the beach has been completed and the beach sand has been settled for 2 km to
give the greatest view of the sea and to enjoy it. Besides, the implementation and
settlement of the front of the entertainment area, and served a sidewalk with a
width of 17 m above the height of 9m sea level. In addition to the implementation
of seating terraces with an unprecedented design to benefit from the natural
gradient of the limestone plateau on the coast to maximize the use of the city
natural elements.
The tender document
of the agriculture works will be accomplished from strait (2-3) and straits
(4-3), and execution rate 60%, the completion and inauguration are expected to
be in Easter celebrations.
The architectural
and structural design of the pedestrian’s crossover has been completed on the
highest levels of straits no. 3 & 4 (as part of the touristic sidewalk). It
includes the following the accomplishment of iron beams with 80ml panorama of
the bridge. The work order will issued to the Arab Contractors Company and the
completion expected date will be by the end of March 2018. Moreover, the design
and delivery of the drawings to the company to implement the public park
(within the work of the touristic sidewalk) with an area of ??50 feddans has
been executed. The ongoing works includes: the First part of the distinctive
wooden structure of the highland restaurant; the implementation of the 13 wave
barriers with 2.5 km length and its execution period is 12 months, it is for
the protection of 8 km shoreline, 4 straits and sea access openings for lakes
at a width of 60m for each one. Besides; the works of the 2 bridge above the
straits no. 1 & 2 of the coastal area has been awarded to the Arab
Contractors Company, with an estimated value of 450 million EGP. The rest of
the Eastern region was allocated with a total area of ??3300 feddans for the
Arab Contractors Company. The areas n. 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 were assigned a total
cost of 1030 million EGP; the execution rate reached 41.5%. 25 power generators
to feed the region with electricity were supplied. The expansion of El Hamraa
Power Plant is undergoing with a total cost of 90 million EGP; Expansion of El
Alameen Plant with total cost 76 million EGP, to supply the coastal area with
the required electrical power and within the limits of 80 MWA by the end of
March 2018. There are 6 companies (Hassan Allam Sons – Orascom – Dorra - Redcon-
SIAC – The Arab Contractors Company) will implement 15 towers in the coastal
area of ??New Alameen City, with heights ranging from 27 to 40 floors. Piling
works are undergoing, its implementation period is 24 months from January 2018.
On the other hand, the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities
took photos with the workers, encouraged and thanking them for their exhorted efforts
and contribution to build their country and making a better future for their
children.
