Eng. Ahmed Omran - Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, inspected the ongoing rehabilitation at KIMA 2 Wastewater Treatment Plants in Aswan. The project being implemented by the Arab Contractors Company has a design capacity of 35,000m3/day. These was in the presence of Major Gen. Amin Shawky - Chairman of National Authority for Drinking Water and Wastewater, Eng. Moustafa El Shemi - Chairman of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Eng. Salah Bayoumi - Vice Chairman of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation, Eng. Youssef Helmy - Head of the Central Administration at the National Authority for Drinking Water and Wastewater, and Eng. Suzanne Metwally - Head of National Authority of Potable Water and Sewage in Aswan. Also present from the Arab Contractors Company were Eng. Hassan Mustafa - Senior Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Yasser Mahsoub - Head of the South Valley and Red Sea Sector, Eng. Mansour Shehata – Branch Manager of South Valley, and Eng. Mohamed Hussein Abdoun -Deputy Branch Manager. During the visit, they inspected the rehabilitation work of the aeration system in the aeration basins of the station, which operates on a tertiary treatment system, was inspected. The work aims to improve the quality of wastewater and reuse it in accordance with advanced environmental and health standards, and contributes to enhancing water sustainability.
