The Chairman visits the Democratic Republic of Congo and Congo-Brazzaville

Eng. Ahmed El Assar - Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, visited the Democratic Republic of Congo and Congo-Brazzaville to inspect the progress of the projects being implemented and to hold meetings with government leaders in the two countries. He was accompanied by Eng. Hassan Mustafa -Senior Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Heba Abu El Ela - Vice Chairman, Eng. Hassan Hassoun - Head of Sector, Member of the Policy Committee and Supervisor of Projects in the Francophone Region and West and Central Africa, and Eng. Hani Khalil - Head of the Advanced Designs, Research and Development Sector. The visit included a meeting with Mr. John Penza Lunda - Minister of Infrastructure of the Democratic Republic of Congo, during which the company’s projects were discussed. The Minister commended the quality of the work and the rapid pace of progress. Several proposals for future projects were also presented during the meeting. The company delegation conducted a site visit to Maloko Industrial Zone Development Project in the Republic of Congo-Brazzaville, a strategic project supporting the operation and development of the industrial zone. The project is being implemented along 2 main axes: the first includes supplying the industrial zone with electricity, fiber optic networks, medium-voltage lines, and a transformer station; the second includes a drinking water supply and treatment system, encompassing the construction of a water intake, pumping and lifting stations, treatment plants, reservoirs, and transmission and distribution lines, in addition to civil works and related services. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of this year. It is worth mentioning that the Arab Contractors Company is also implementing another project in the drinking water sector in the Republic of Congo-Brazzaville, which is to deliver drinking water to the city of Ludima, located about 302 km from the capital Brazzaville, for the benefit of the Ministry of Energy and Hydraulics. The project aims to provide safe and affordable drinking water to the city’s residents, through a system that serves a number of key locations, reflecting the company’s growing role in implementing vital infrastructure projects within the African continent. On the sidelines of the visit, the general assemblies of both the Arab Contractors Company of Congo and the Arab Contractors Company of Brazzaville were held, during which the executive and financial reports were reviewed and the annual budgets were approved.
