In implementation of the directives of Professor Dr. Osama Al Azhari - Minister of Awqaf, the Arab Contractors Company participated in the work of removing the leaning crescent above the minaret of Al Bahr Mosque in Damietta, after a lean was detected in anticipation of its collapse, which may pose a danger to the safety of citizens. Efforts from yesterday morning until the early hours of this morning, with the necessary heavy equipment being deployed to the mosque site, with the participation of North Delta branch, the Equipment Hiring Department, and the Company’s Complementary Works Department, to facilitate the removal of the crescent in accordance with the required technical and engineering procedures, and in a way that ensures the safety of the public until the task was successfully completed. For his part, Professor Dr. Hossam El Din Fawzy - Governor of Damietta, praised the efforts made by all participating parties, especially in light of the difficult weather conditions, appreciating their harnessing of all capabilities to ensure the task was carried out efficiently and quickly. He also confirmed that the road is being opened in both directions in front of the mosque after the work is completed.
