Minister of Housing follows up on the implementation status of “Decent Life” Initiative in Several governorates and stresses intensifying workforce at project sites

Eng. Randa El Menshawy - Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, chaired a meeting to review the implementation status of the Ministry’s projects implemented under the Presidential Initiative for the Development of the Egyptian Countryside, “Decent Life.” The meeting was attended by Eng. Ahmed Omran - Deputy Minister for Utilities; Eng. Ahmed El Assar - Chairman of The Arab Contractors; heads of the relevant executive entities; Ministry officials; and the project consultant. The meeting reviewed the implementation phases of projects across a number of governorates, including potable water supply and wastewater projects, treatment plants, and the extension and reinforcement of utility networks. Discussions also covered action plans for completing works in the remaining villages under Phase I of the Presidential “Decent Life” Initiative, contributing to the enhancement of service levels provided to citizens in rural Egypt. The Minister of Housing affirmed that the projects under the Presidential “Decent Life” Initiative represent a top priority on the Ministry’s agenda during the upcoming phase, in line with the directives of the political leadership. She emphasized the importance of accelerating implementation rates and improving the quality of life for citizens in the targeted villages, while strictly adhering to the approved timelines, maintaining continuous on-site supervision, and overcoming any obstacles that may arise during execution. The Minister further directed the need to strengthen full coordination among the Ministry’s bodies, executing companies, and relevant authorities. She stressed the importance of increasing workforce deployment at project sites to expedite completion and handover in accordance with the highest standards of quality and efficiency, while ensuring continuous monitoring and sustained progress of works.
