Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated Cleopatra Sky Hospital, the latest facility of Cleopatra Hospitals Group in East Cairo. This comes within the framework of the state's support for developing the healthcare system and strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors, in line with Egypt's Vision 2030. The inauguration was attended by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar - Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, a number of ministers and governors, Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El Din - Advisor to the President of Egypt for health and prevention affairs, Eng. Ahmed El Assar - Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company ”the project's contractor”, Eng. Mohamed Elwy - AC Board Member, as well as a number of heads of various authorities, health sector officials, relevant agencies and bodies, and leaders of Cleopatra Hospitals Group. They were received by Eng. Karim Badawy - Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, and Dr. Ahmed Ezz El Din - CEO and Managing Director of Cleopatra Hospitals Group. The hospital represents an advanced model of public-private partnership (PPP), owned by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, the hospital was established, equipped, and is managed by Cleopatra Hospitals Group. This initiative reflects the state's commitment to maximizing the benefits of private sector expertise in managing and operating healthcare facilities according to the highest international standards, with investments exceeding EGP 3.5 billion. The Prime Minister noted that progress is being made in the area of healthcare for Egyptian citizens, in accordance with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The government's actions demonstrate the great importance the state places on the health sector. Therefore, the government, through all its ministries and agencies, is exerting significant efforts to develop the healthcare system in Egypt and extend health initiatives to all parts of the country, while increasing service delivery rates in the most underserved villages and hamlets. He emphasized the strong partnership with the local and foreign private sector to improve healthcare services, ensure the financial and operational sustainability of new projects, and develop and enhance the efficiency of existing facilities. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar emphasized the critical importance of expanding public-private partnerships “PPP” in healthcare in general, and in supporting the Ministry's health initiatives for citizens in particular. This ensures the achievement of shared goals and societal priorities for the continuous development of these initiatives under the auspices of His Excellency the President of the Republic, aiming to improve the healthcare system and enhance citizens' health indicators. In this context, he stated that Cleopatra New Cairo Hospital (Sky) represents a qualitative addition to the healthcare sector in Egypt. It utilizes the latest medical and digital technologies and offers an advanced model of smart healthcare by employing artificial intelligence applications in diagnosis and treatment, and implementing data-driven health management systems. This ensures increased service efficiency and an improved patient experience. Engineer Karim Badawi pointed out that the opening of this hospital comes at a crucial time, given the Egyptian state's intensive efforts to develop the health sector. The state is intensifying its efforts to meet healthcare priorities, guided by a conscious vision that places human health at the forefront. This is being achieved through expanding medical infrastructure, improving the quality of health services, adopting the latest treatment and technological systems, and strengthening effective partnerships with the private sector. These efforts contribute to achieving sustainability and efficiency, and easing the burden on citizens. Dr. Ahmed Ezz El Din - CEO and Managing Director of Cleopatra Hospitals Group, confirmed that the hospital's opening is part of its expansion strategy aimed at supporting the national healthcare system, enhancing the quality of medical services, and contributing to achieving health equity. This is being done in full coordination with state institutions, most notably the Ministry of Health and Population, the General Authority for Healthcare, and the General Authority for Accreditation and Healthcare Regulation. He added that the hospital was designed to be an integrated platform for modern healthcare, combining advanced medical infrastructure, smart digital systems, and qualified medical personnel, aiming at providing treatment and diagnostic services that meet international standards and keep pace with the latest advancements in medical technology, Cleopatra New Cairo (Sky) Hospital embodies the state's commitment to investing in modern healthcare infrastructure, considering it a cornerstone of sustainable development and health security, and a significant step towards establishing Egypt as a leading regional hub for healthcare. He explained that the hospital features approximately 240 rooms, including 48 ICU beds, 7 operating theaters, 2 catheterization labs, and 2 endoscopy units, and over 40 medical specialties. Cleopatra New Cairo (Sky) Hospital is distinguished by several centers of excellence, most notably the Trauma and Accident Center, Centers of excellence include Trauma & Accident, Cardiology, Kidney, and Neurology & Neurosurgery, along with comprehensive outpatient services for ophthalmology, pediatrics, ENT, dentistry, orthopedics, and more. Pediatric care is offered across 11 specialized disciplines in a child-friendly environment. The hospital also features fully individual intensive care units to ensure privacy and prevent infection, as well as a spacious and comprehensive emergency department with 25 beds and 24/7 availability of certified consultants. A fully equipped blood bank is also available for blood donation and dispensing services. During the event, a documentary film was screened, chronicling the history and development of the Cleopatra Hospitals Group up to the opening of this new facility in New Cairo.
