As part of the regular follow-up on the implementation phases of the national project to develop the spinning and weaving industry and maximize the benefit from national industries, Eng. Mohamed Sheimy - Minister of Public Business Sector, conducted an inspection visit to the construction work at Spinning Factory 6 in El Mahalla El Koubra, which is being implemented by the Arab Contractors Company.
The visit was attended by Dr. Ahmed Shaker - Managing Director of the Holding Company for Spinning and Weaving, Eng. Ahmed Badr - Chairman of Ghazl El Mahalla Company, Eng. Hassan Ibraheem -Board Member of the Arab Contractors Company; Eng. Mohamed Khedr – AC Executive Board Member, Eng. Mohamed Lashin – AC Executive Board Member and Head of Delta and Marine Structures Sector; and Eng. El Sayed El Shahat – Manager of East and Central Delta Branch.
During the visit, the Minister inspected the testing and installation work on the suspended ceilings in the production hall and the fiber-reinforced concrete floor slabs. The factory covers an area of 20,000 m2, including a 16,000-m2 production hall. It also features approximately 4,000 meters of reinforced concrete tunnels for cooling and electrical systems, a steel structure, electromechanical works, and two service strips covering 4,000 m2. The factory includes 6 cooling stations and 6 administrative and service buildings.
The Minister emphasized the importance of adhering to the highest quality standards in implementation and applying occupational safety and health procedures. He praised the efforts of the various work teams on the project.
He concluded the visit by thanking all those involved in the project's implementation, affirming the government's commitment to providing full support for ongoing national projects.
