Arab Contractors completes road projects in Pallisa and Kumi cities in eastern Uganda

Eng. Ahmed El Assar - Chairman of Arab Contractors, announced that the company has completed the internal road project for the cities of Pallisa and Kumi in eastern Uganda, with a total length of 20 km and a total cost of $ 40 million. The project was directly commissioned by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda. He pointed out that this project is of great importance to the residents of the two cities, whose population is 650,000, which contributes to the development of Uganda and reflects Egypt’s orientation towards participating in development projects in brotherly countries across the African continent. Eng. Mohammad Tolba - Managing Director of Arab Contractors Uganda Limited Company, and Eng. Salah Radwan - General Manager of the company, added that the project has received wide praise from local officials, Uganda’s Ministry of Works and Transport, and residents of the beneficiary areas, for its speed of implementation and high quality of work, reflecting the company’s distinguished reputation in the Ugandan and African markets in general. With this achievement, Arab Contractors has completed 5 major road and bridge projects in Uganda over the past 5 years, with a total value exceeding $240 million. This strengthens its position as one of the most prominent Egyptian companies operating in Africa, having won the award for Best Contracting Company in Uganda for seven consecutive years. It is worth noting that the company is currently implementing Kingogo-Bwezi-Kahungi- Bwoizi–Mbara Road project, with a total length of 105 km, as well as the design and implementation of the 56 km Iganga-Kamuli Road project, as part of its plan to expand infrastructure projects in Uganda, in cooperation with the Ugandan Ministry of Works and Transport.
