The Tunisian Minister of Trade and Export Development, Mr. Samir Obeid, inaugurated the activities of the 8th edition of the international conference "Financing Investment and Trade in Africa" (FITA 2025), with the wide participation of more than 1,000 economic figures from 60 countries, representing ministries and financial and commercial institutions from within and outside the African continent, during the two days from 6 to 7 May 2025. The conference witnessed the participation of the Arab Contractors Company, with the presence of Eng. Heba Abu El Ella - Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, and Eng. Mohamed El Shehabi – Head of the Sector, as part of the discussion of joint cooperation opportunities in the field of construction and infrastructure on the African level. The company's delegation met with several government officials from African governments and banks to discuss enhancing cooperation. In his opening speech, Mr. Anis Jaziri – President of the Tunisian African Business Council emphasized that the conference was organized by the Tunisian-African Business Council, and its program included 14 high-level seminars and 7 technical workshops, in addition to bilateral sessions between businesses (B2B) and between businesses and governments (B2G), with the aim of strengthening economic cooperation and facilitating investment partnerships between African countries. It is worth noting that this conference is an important platform for enhancing economic and investment cooperation between Tunisia and African countries, thus supporting the process of integration and development on the continent.
