Dr. Assem El Gazzar - Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, praised the announcement of the American magazine "Engineering News-Record" that 5 Egyptian projects, in various fields, won the international arbitration competition, for Global Best Projects, where the Arab Contractors Company won 3 awards, Hassan Allam Holding and Orascom Construction won 2 prizes for a project for each company. Dr. Assem El-Gazzar stated that the Egyptian companies’ winning of international awards for the second consecutive year represents an international certificate of the success of the Egyptian will in implementing giant projects in various fields in record time, which contributes to achieving a rapid development boom and establishing a new republic. He congratulated the ministries and stakeholders as well as the Arab Contractors Company, Hassan Allam Holding, and Orascom Construction for gaining these awards, wishing them and their employees continued success and progress. ENR magazine had announced, in specific messages to the winning companies, that the Arab Contractors Company had won 3 awards, namely, the best transport project award in the world for the year 2022, for Adly Mansour Transportation Hub, which was implemented under the supervision of the Ministry of Transport, represented by the National Authority for Tunnels, as well as the Award of Merit for Egypt Islamic Cultural Center in the New Administrative Capital, which was implemented under the supervision of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, in addition to the Award of Merit for the Renovation of Mohamed Mahmoud Khalil Museum, which was implemented under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture. Orascom Construction won the Best Project Award, in the Power and Industrial Projects category, for Ras Ghareb Gulf of Suez 262.5-MW Wind Farm, and Hassan Allam Holding also won the Award of Merit in the Environmental Projects category, for the Development of the South Valley of Toshka Region.
