The Prime Minister inspects the Strategic Water Tanks in Sharm El Sheikh

Dr. Moustafa Madbouly - Prime Minister inspected a number of projects in the drinking water and sanitation sector in Sharm El Sheikh, which are implemented by the Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, represented by the National Authority of Potable Water and Sewage, through the Executive Authority of South Sinai Projects. He was accompanied by Dr. Assem El Gazzar - Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, a number of ministers, the South Sinai Governor, Eng. Sayed Farouk – Chairman & CEO of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Officials from the ministry and other relevant authorities? The Prime Minister stated that this tour aims to ensure the improvement of the level of utility services within the framework of the huge preparations that the state is currently undertaking, represented by the relevant ministries and agencies, to host COP27 Climate Change Conference. During the tour, the Prime Minister was informed by Dr. Assem El Gazzar about the strategic water tanks project, noting that it consists of 8 tanks, with a capacity of 80,000 m3, and at a total cost of LE 230 million to serve 40.000 people with an implementation rate of 90%. The project includes 6 tanks with a capacity of 10,000 m3/tank. Major General Ihab Khader, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Drinking Water and Wastewater, presented the sewage treatment plant expansion project, which has a capacity of 7500 m3/day and the number of beneficiaries is about 20 thousand, at a cost of LE 100 million.?
