President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspects the New Administrative Capital

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi was in an inspection tour of the New Administrative Capital. El Sisi was briefed on the executive status of a number of neighborhoods and buildings including Egypt’s Islamic Cultural Center which includes one of the world’s largest mosques, Misr Mosque. The mosque can accommodate up to 107,000 worshippers, with a 140m minaret. It includes several spacious halls for celebrations, events and Quranic schools for men, women and children, a parking lot and a multi-storey garage (7 storeys) that can accommodate up to 3000 cars. His Excellency also inspected the new Parliament Building, the largest in the Middle East, with a main hall accommodating up to 1,000 members. It has an enormous size that it is three times the size of the current Parliament building in Cairo. Attached to the main hall is a group of service buildings that include: places of worship, a medical center, a police building, a fire station, a civil registry office, auditoriums, a media center, an information center, a training center and green areas. The main hall is topped with a central dome which is considered one of the biggest domes in the world. The President was also briefed from the officials on the construction sites about the ongoing implementation plans and completion rates. The President has directed for adherence to the defined time schedule and the engineering construction standards for all the ongoing buildings inside the New Administrative Capital which represents Egypt as a modern state. The President was accompanied and welcomed by Major Gen. Ihab El Far - Head of Armed Forces Engineering Authority, number of officials, Eng. Sayed Farouk – CEO and President of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Ahmed El Assar – Senior Vice President, Eng. Ahmed Abbass – AC Board Member and Eng. Tarek Safy – Project Management Director.
