Launching the 1st phase of the construction of the Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine Faculties at Alexandria University Branch in Chad

Essam El-Kurdi President of Alexandria University and Eng. Mohsen Salah – CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company signed a contract for the construction of the Building of Alexandria University’s Branch in N'Djamena – Chad. Dr. El-Kurdi stated that this contract includes the construction of the First Phase for the construction of the Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine faculties in the branch. The Arab Contractors Company will implement the construction works according to the general conditions, technical specifications, BOQs and engineering drawings. El Kurdi pointed out that the relation between Alexandria University and Africa started since the 60s through the cooperation with many African universities and the presence of a large number of international students in Alexandria University. Every year the university provides 100 scholarships to Nile Basin’s countries. Eng. Mohsen Salah – CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company expressed his pleasure for cooperation with Alexandria University in the construction of the faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in the Chadian capital - N'Djamena. He emphasized that the presence of the company and its great reputation gained through the various works which was implemented in Chad assist in the successful implementation of this project. Thus, it will contribute to the development of education in Chad as directed according to the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the vision of the Egyptian government to open up new horizons for cooperation with the African countries in development projects. The signing of the contract was in the presence of Dr. Hesham Gaber - Vice President of Alexandria University for Education and Students Affairs, Dr. Wael Nabil Abdel Salam - Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Eng. Emam Afify – Vice Chairman of the AC, Eng. Hossam El Reefy – AC Board Member, Eng. Ibrahim Mabrouk – Head of Africa Sector and Eng. Amany Khodeir - Head of the Follow-Up Sector for the African Projects.
