Dr. Assem El Gazar – the Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities visited various projects in New Mansoura City. He was accompanied by Eng. Khaled Mahmoud - Deputy Minister of Housing for the follow-up of national projects, Eng. Abdel Motaleb Mamdouh - Vice Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority and Eng. Mohammad Ragab - Supervisor of the Development Authority of New Mansoura City. It was in the presence of Eng. Emam Afify – the Vice President of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Hossam El Din El Reefy – AC Board Member, Eng. Mofida Allam – the Roads Consultant in the AC and Supervisor of the Laboratory Sector, Eng. Ramzy Moustafa – Head of Delta sector, Eng. Alaa Shalaby - Manager of East and Central Delta Branch and Eng. Osama Shawkt – Manager of North Delta Branch. Dr. Assem El Gazar started his visit by inspecting El Corniche area which overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The east Corniche with a length of 800m will be finalized and the implementation rate of the west cornice with a length of 1400m reached 48%. The Minister directed the operation of the services and caring about the agriculture works in the Corniche, so that citizens could enjoy it in the summer. The Minister stressed on the necessity of being committed to the defined time schedule of the different projects as El Mansoura University. He emphasized on being committed with the highest quality in the finishing works. The Minister inspected the two projects of "Sakn Misr" for middle housing and "Janna" for luxurious housing. The Head of the Authority declared that the construction of 4704 housing units (196 buildings) in "Sakn Misr" is ongoing with implementation rate 79%. The construction of 11232 housing units (468 buildings) in "Janna" is ongoing with implementation rate 55%. He inspected the villas area which includes 2103 units has 1149 villas is under construction (separated – connected – semi connected); the implementation rate reached 17%. During the minister's visit for the projects, the workers insisted on taking photo with him. He urged them for exerting more efforts in the execution of the mega national projects especially in this important phase of our country history. Eng. Mohammad Ragab - Supervisor of the Development Authority of New Mansoura City pointed out that the soil investigation was carried out and the piling works was approved to execute the 2 towers. The construction of 1392 units (58 buildings) on a coastal style is undergoing; its implementation rate reached 17%. Besides, the construction of 2 primary schools is ongoing; the implementation rate reached 10%. In addition to the construction of 8 markets and its implementation rate exceeds 40%; and the execution of a medical center with implementation rate 18%. He declared that the preparation for the construction of the International Law Faculty is ongoing; its total area is 67 feddans south of the Second phase and 240m far from the First phase. The university includes the following faculties: the International Law – Economy and Business Administration – Engineering – Medical Science – Pharmacy – Dentistry – the Central Library – the University Hospital – the Administration Building – Gymnasium – Showrooms. He added that the utilities works is undergoing; the completion rate for the roads works reached 80% for the earthworks and 10% for the foundation layer. The implementation rate for the wastewater networks reached 30% and the storm water drainage networks reached 20%. He declared that the total area of the city is 6270 feddans. The total area of the ongoing projects "First phase" is 2063 feddans. The Arab Contractors Company is carrying out the works of "Dar Misr" housing for 52 residential buildings which consists of a ground floor and 5 typical higher floors. The works of the internal and external finishing and the touristic walkway are undergoing. The First phase completed with a length of 800m.currently, the company s implementing the works of the Second phase with a length of 1400m besides the construction of the modern villas project with a total number of 124 villas. In addition to these, the company is carrying out the utilities project (drainage – flood drainage – water lines – irrigation – firefighting) in addition to the construction of the university fence and the foundation works.
