Eng. Khaled Abbas - Deputy Minister of Housing for National Projects toured the different projects executed in New Mansoura City. He declared that there are ongoing excavation works for 110 villas, rehabilitation for 20 villas and concrete precasting works for 12 villas. He stated that the Arab Contractors Company is executing 124 villas, the excavation and rehabilitation works started 9 months ago, the casting of the ground floor's ceils is undergoing. Eng. Alaa Abdel Aziz pointed out that 120m of the 1st phase were executed with a total length 800m and 40-90m width from the Eastern side of New Mansoura City's Corniche overlooking the Mediterranean Sea which executed by the Arab Contractors Company. Currently the finishing works for 3 cafeterias is ongoing. He declared that the Corniche including (pedestrian walkway – cafeterias – sun shades – seats – bicycle lane – playgrounds – areas for reading and internet and kids area…etc.). Eng. Mohammed El Sayed Moustafa Ragab said that the soil investigation work is starting for the execution of 12 towers out of 30 towers which will be executed in New Mansoura City. Eng. Hossam El Rifi stated that the Arab Contractors Company will execute 6 towers out of them, the soil investigation works for 3 towers executed and the soil investigation for the 3 others is undergoing. Eng. Ramzy Mahmoud added that North Delta Branch is executing the university's building and the soil investigations for 7 building of different faculties were implemented. Currently, the building of the university's fencing is ongoing. In addition to these, the Arab Contractors Company is executing 52 residential building for Dar Misr Housing, 28% of them were implemented. Eng. Mohammed El Sayed added that the roads planning for the 1st phase of the city were implemented; the completion rate reached 50% for the roads works with total length 44km. the general landscape for the wastewater network, water and irrigation networks and drainage networks were approved. The utilities works for the Easter part of the 1st phase covered 1000 feddans was awarded to the Arab Contractors Company with an estimated value 1.06 billion EGP.
