Eng. Mohsen Salah – AC Chairman touring the utilities of the 4th district in "Beit Al-Watan " for the land of the Egyptian expats in New Cairo. Besides, he visited different projects in the residential and governmental in the New Administrative Capital and praised the workers efforts to accomplish works according to its time schedule.
Eng. Ahmed Abbass – Head of Greater Cairo Sector declared that the project of "Beit Al-Watan" is related to the Urban Communities Authority and the Arab Contractors Company is executing the utilities for 520 feddans including 1567 territories (950m for each). The project scope of work includes the followings: construction of 8 external roads 47km length, quantities of excavation reached to 7million m?, filling is 10 million m?, potable water networks extended for 34km length, drainage 28km length, electricity and irrigation networks with a preliminary cost 250 million EGP and it is expected to reach more than one billion EGP due to adding new works in the project. Eng. Abbass added that regarding to the New Administrative Capital the AC is executing the distinguished housing, utilities and roads which will be implemented on 2 phases in the residential district. The 1st phase includes 44 buildings consisting of a ground floor, a basement, 8 typical floors and 326 out of 396 roofs were accomplished. The 2nd phase includes 34 buildings: a ground floor, a basement, 6 typical floors (distinguished housing). The execution ratio of this phase reached 86% for the excavation works, 67% filling and 65% raft slabs.
For the governmental district the AC is executing the utilities for 550 feddans including water and wastewater networks, road works reached 1,3 million m?, accumulator station 17km away from the New Capital site on the conjunction between Suez Road and the Regional Roadway. This station will provide water for the New Capital. It is noteworthy that the water source is a potable water station in 10th Ramadan City. The project includes a water station, transmitting pipeline from the 10th Ramadan City to the pumping station which pumping water for 17km.
