On Sunday 30th August 2009, President Mubarak inaugurated Marriotia viaduct on the Ring Road with a total length 6km, which is a strategic artery to connect Greater Cairo governorates with the governorates of both the Upper and Lower Egypt. The Arab Contractors Company executed its 1st sector (about 3km), in a record time of 22 months only. In the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif, ministers of defense and military production – Housing, Utilities and Urban Development – Interiors - Transport – Economic Development - Local Development – Information, Cairo and Giza Governors, Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab - President and CEO of the Arab Contractors, AC Vice-Presidents: Eng. Nouh Meshref, Eng. Osama Shawki and Eng. Mohamed Adel Fathi.
