Minister of Housing Dr. Assem El Gazzar, held an extensive meeting to follow up on the implementation status and push the work rates in the New Administrative Capital projects, in the presence of officials of the Ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, Eng. Sayed Farouk – CEO and Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Ahmed El Assar – Senior Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company and officials of the executing companies for the projects in the NAC. The Minister of Housing stressed that the contracting companies should comply with the deadlines for finalizing the implementation of various projects with the highest quality, pushing work rates, increasing the number of workers and equipment, and work in 24-hour shifts to complete various national projects that are being implemented in the New Administrative Capital. The Minister declared that one of the most important projects under construction in the New Administrative Capital is the central parks project "Capital Park", which is considered one of the distinctive landmarks in the capital; in addition to the Central Business District project, it will contribute to creating a new environment, achieving quality of life for citizens, and will add great value to the surrounding areas, as for the first time in Egypt, parks of this size are implemented, along with residential and development projects, and utilities projects. The Minister pointed out that the Capital Park project consists of 3 sectors, and is considered the largest central park in the Middle East, and the second largest park worldwide; it is more than 10 km long, with an area of about 1,000 feddan. The project will provide recreational areas with international standards. Easily accessible through an integrated network of pedestrian and bicycle lanes, and all the Egyptians will enjoy it. The project includes green areas – lakes – playgrounds – bike lanes - restaurant complexes, recreational areas and dedicated space to establish future investment projects. Besides, the project It includes the following components (Reading and Science Lake - Children's Learning Park - Festive Arena - Arts Lake - Heritage Park - Country Club - Sports Club - Central Square - Restaurant Complex- Open Cinema - Interactive Garden - Art Park - Boat Lake - Oasis of Luxury - An Islamic-themed Garden).
