Eng. Mohsen Salah Touring Al Mostakbal Water Plant and Port Said Tunnels under the Suez Canal

Eng. Mohsen Salah – AC Chairman & CEO visited the work site of the construction of a water plant in Al Mostakbal City. The Manager of Canal Branch declared that the plant built upon 9 feddans with a cost exceeding 220 million EGP and its capacity is 400l/sec. equivalent to 35000 m3/day. The rate of the work progress reached 97% of the total works. The 2nd phase aiming at reaching a capacity of 800l/sec. equivalent to 70000 m3/day by the end of the project execution. The project is serving the whole of Al Mostakbal City, the Security Forces Complex, the Educational Complex, the Industrial Zone, the Investment Zone and a number of villages on Road 36. Then, Eng. Mohsen Salah toured Port Said Tunnels under Suez Canal. He was accompanied by Eng. Sayed Farouk – the Senior Vice Chairman, Eng. Mohammed Abu Desheish – the General Supervisor of the project, Eng. Ashraf Tolba – the JV Deputy Manager, the Commercial Manager of the project, Eng. Mubarak Mansour – Manager of Sinai Branch, Eng. Kamal Abdel Hakim – the Manager of the West worksite and Eng. Mohammed Samaha - the Manager of the East worksite. Thus, Eng. Mohsen and his companions toured the ongoing works in the Southern tunnel which is 4km length, the tunnel body is 2,850km, the external diameter 12.6 m and the internal 11.4 m with a level up to 24m depth under the Suez Canal and allow the passage of two cars in each direction with a net height of 5m, which facilitating the movement of containers to and from East Port Said Port and encouraging the establishment of factories in East Port Said. The total of the excavation works reached 1.5 million m3 for the entrances and exits of the tunnel and soil improvement works is 3 million m3.
