The Engineering Authority Honoring 3 AC Workers in Rod El Farg Axis

In an honorable note on the sidelines of the weekly meeting to follow up the executive position of the work of the giant Rod El Farg Axis project to ensure the progress of the work carried out by the Arab Contractors Company, Gen. Hassan Abdel Shafy - Manager of Military Engineers Department and Gen. Emad Saafan - Assistant Manager of Military Engineers honored 3 workers from the Arab Contractors Company for their dedication to work and their perfection in the technical works. Eng. Ahmed Al Aasar said that the honored workers are Mr. Ahmed Al-Gohary - Assistant Manager & implementation supervisor, Antar Mohammed - leader of the blacksmiths and Abdel Salam Mesbah – Installations technician; they are significant and excellent workmen of the project. Eng. Ahmed El Aasar pointed out that this honor will urge many workers to imitate them and contribute to the pace of work and production of this project.  He said that this phase of Rod El Farg Axis starts from the Teraat Ismailia street through Shubra Al Mazalat and west of the Ring Road in the direction of Alexandria desert road K39 crossing the River Nile, as it passes through the Dulutian Street to connect with the axis of Fangri, Saad Salim Street and Teraat Ismailia to pass from the east to the Ring Road, with a total length 12 km on both sides.
The project includes 6 inlets and outlets in El Mazalat; and 8 inlets and outlets to connect with the Ring Road and a bridge on the West of the Nile, 400m length, 50m width and 14m height from the surface of the water and the width of the opening of the navigation of 120m, allowing the passage of floating hotels and was established by the system of moving vehicles and a bridge It is the largest bridge in the world, in terms of width, 64m in the middle and the largest navigational slot across the Nile, where the width of the opening of the navigation is up to 300m.
Eng. Ahmed El Assar added that the Cable-Stayed Bridge is based on 6 columns (3 columns in the East and the same in the Western side). The columns is 100 m from the surface of the water and are based on a base of 80 piles with 2m diameter and 46m depth. He pointed out that the height of the pillars in the East side exceeded 50m and the Western side exceeded 50m and that the bridge capacity is up to 120 tons and he will register the Cable-Stayed bridge in the Guinness World Records for being the world's broadest bridge.
