Eng. Mohsen Salah - AC Chairman visited Uganda to follow up the new road projects recently awarded by the Ugandan Roads Authority for $ 133 million. He also visited the project of the development and rehabilitation of the Public Hospital in Kampala and thanking the employees for completing the 1st phase according to the highest quality and urged them to continue with the same performance to complete the additional work in the hospital, which consists of an 8 floors building on a total area of 26000 m? and includes 450 beds and 11 operating rooms and a section of microscopic injection equipped with operating room and departments of intensive care (40 beds), recovery rooms (25 bed), incubators (50 beds), tumors (80 beds), high-risk maternity (170 beds), emergency, laboratories, blood bank, morgue, radiation, examination, physiotherapy, free department, investment department, VIP department, kitchen, restaurant and laundry.
The Deputy Manager of the Arab Contractors Company in Uganda stated that the new projects are on progress which includes 2 roads away 200km from Kampala (South-Eastern Uganda), the first road is 44 km which comprising the development and modernization of the earth road to asphalt road from the 2nd class consisting of 2 lanes width of 3.65m with a total width of 7.3m for each and a speed of 70 km/h, in addition to the 2 shoulders on the road sides 2m width for each. In addition to the drainage and industrial works along the road and passes 10 marshes with 12 km length and 6 bridges on piles and the project is about 200 km from the capital Kampala (South-Eastern Uganda). Another road 67 km length; its scope of work is the development and modernization of the earth road to asphalt road from the 2nd class with the same aforementioned specifications, passes through 14 marshes with a total length 7 km. The AC is executing other projects in Uganda which includes: the rehabilitation and expansion of the Kaionga Hospital, mitigation of the flood hazards of Kassisi and the implementation of the 2nd phase of the Busija trade market for the Ugandan Ministry of Local Administration in Kampala.
