On the sidelines of the International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq; Eng. Mahlab Visiting Sheikh Jaber Hospital in Kuwait

On the sidelines of the International Conference for the Reconstruction of Iraq hold in Kuwait, the head of the Egyptian delegation, Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab- Presidential Assistant for the national and strategic projects inspected the final works of Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Al Sabah Hospital in Kuwait and its inauguration is scheduled within the coming period. He witnessed the final arrangements for the patients’ rooms, operation theaters, suites, all the buildings and facilities of the hospital and expressed his admiration for the quality of the work carried out by the Arab Contractors Company. It is noteworthy that Sheikh Jaber Hospital is the largest hospital in the Middle East and the sixth largest hospital in the world built upon 720 thousands m? and implemented by 13 thousand workers of all specialties throughout the duration of the project.

It consists of 1200 beds, dental building, Nursing residence, equipment of kitchens and laundry, and building for the central power unit – operation and maintenance works equipped with 3 airstrips. the hospital has a parking for 50 cars, and another area accommodates 50 ambulance cars, a shelter, 7 entries and 150 lifts, crisis and crimes center which is unique in Kuwait in addition to a medical mall extends for a kilometer including different shops and restrooms. The hospital is considered an international building, the biggest of its kind in the Middle East as a center for learning and medical cadre training; and providing medical services for more than 600 thousands persons.
