Minister of Culture Visited Aisha Fahmy Palace

Minister of Culture toured Aisha Fahmy Palace in Zamalek to follow up the restoration works and obstacles removal to be accomplished at th end of the coming May. The Manager of Monument Restoration Department  declared that the project total is EGP 24 million and executed 70% of the total target works. The project is going to be a national museum and to be equipped with the latest systems and equipment. The project manager said that the scope of works includes: the minute restoration for ornaments, oil and mural paintings, colorful ceiling, stained glass, gypsum works and and parquet.
The palace built during King Fouad I Regime on 1907. Military Minister Ali Pasha Fahmy built  and dedicated it to his daughter Princess Aisha Fahmy whom married from many famous figure as the Actors Youssef Wahby and Mahmoud Shokoko.
It is a 3 storey palace. Each room in the palace has its distinguished ornaments than the others. One of the room include Buddha Statue and its walls covered with paintings showing the agricultural and industrial life of the Japanese people.
