President Mubarak had inaugurated Shoura Council and its historical halls,
after the completion of the restoration and development works, to stand as historical evidence on the democracy process in Egypt.
In the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Nazif, Dr. Ahmed Fathi Sorour - the Speaker of the People's Assembly, Mr. Safwat El-Sherif, Chairman of the Shoura Council, Eng. Ahmed El Maghrabi – Minister of Housing, Utilities & Urban Development , a group of the Egyptian ministers and Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab – President and CEO of the Arab Contractors Company.
It is noteworthy that Mr. Safwat El-Sherif, Chairman of the Shoura Council honored Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, President and CEO of the Arab Contractors, Dr. Aly Abdul Rahman, Head of the Consulting Committee, Eng. Abdel Latef Ghobara – AC Board Member and the team leaders for their distinguished performance and important role in the rehabilitation and renovation of the Shoura council to regain its glamour in a record time. In the presence of Dr. Mofeed Shehab, the Minister of Legal Affairs and Parliamentary Councils. This event took place in the VIP hall in the Shoura Council. Mr. Safwat El-Sherif gave thanks to President Mubarak for his great concern with the Shoura Council restoration. In addition, he thanked Eng. Ahmad El Maghraby - Minister of Housing Utilities and Urban Development for their continuous following up. Besides; Mr. Safwat El-Sherif thanked every participant in the project for their outstanding effort and appreciating their nationalism to execute this project which considered a symbol of the legislative life in Egypt.
