President of Cote d'Ivoire setting the cornerstone for Jacques Phil Bridge

On Saturday 9th July of 2009, Mr. Laurent Gbagbo - Cote d'Ivoire President setting the cornerstone for Jacques Phil Bridge in Abidjan. AC Company has been awarded the contract with US$ 38 million. It is noteworthy that Jacques Phil Bridge is a concrete bridge linking Jacques Phil Island with Abidjan crossing the canal which separates them. In the presence of Mr. Patrick Achi – Minister of Economic Infrastructure, Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab - President and CEO of the Arab Contractors Company and Eng. Faysal Mortada - Senior Vice President. Eng. Medhat Askar – Head of Africa Sector, Eng. Mohammed Abdel Monaim – Head of Bridges and Specialized Structures Sector and Eng. Ahmed Taha –Manager of the company Projects in Cote d'Ivoire stated that the bridge total length is 570m upon 16 pillars carrying 45 precast and pre-stressed spans. The scope of work includes the construction of the bridge inlets and outlets to connect it with the road networks from both sides.
