Ramsis To Go To Grand Museum

An international press conference was held on the 24 of July to explain the results of the successful trial made for the transportation of the famous King Ramsis Statue. The Arab Contractors has been contracted this job to transport the statue from its current location, down town Cairo, to a new location. The studies for the transportation process have been going on for three years in order to ensure its safety as well as the safety of the infrastructure located along the transportation route. The sensitivity of the process stems from the King's statute fragile condition as well as its heavy weight. The press conference was held in the presence of Mr. I. Mahlab, CEO of AC and Dr Zahi Hawass, secretary general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities.
