Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Minshawi - President of Assiut University inaugurated the first phase of the new Faculty of Early Childhood Education headquarters in New Assiut City, and the first phase of the Center for Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery in Assiut. This comes as part of the university's plan to expand and develop its educational and medical infrastructure, thereby enhancing the quality of academic and health services. The inauguration was attended by a number of university, academic, and medical leaders, including Dr. Reham El Meligy - Dean of Early Childhood Education Faculty, Dr. Shehata El Dabaa - Engineering Consultant to the University President; Dr. Khaled Abdel Aziz - Director of the Main University Hospital, Dr. Amr El Sayed - Head of the Center for Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery, and representatives of the Arab Contractors Company, the contractor for the project: Eng. Ahmed Abdel Fattah – Manager of Assiut Branch, and Eng. Ehab Abu Kresha - Deputy Manager of Assiut Branch. The first phase of Faculty of Early Childhood Education campus project, spanning 3,500 m2, includes the Eastern and the Western Auditoriums Buildings, and the Educational Building. The inauguration was attended by a number of university leaders, professors, department heads, and members of the faculty's administrative staff. This first phase also includes the laboratories building, the Dean's office, offices for department heads and faculty members, council hall, discussion rooms, and classrooms, in addition to educational laboratories equipped with the latest technology to support the teaching and training process. The Western Auditoriums Building comprises 3 lecture halls with a capacity of 300 students, equipped with state-of-the-art audio and lighting systems. The first phase of the Center for Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery includes 4 operating rooms equipped with the latest technology for performing delicate microsurgical procedures, 6 outpatient clinics, a recovery room with 6 beds, and 10 intensive care rooms, enhancing the center's ability to provide specialized medical services according to the highest international standards. The center is a leading medical institution, annually hosting medical teams from various Arab and European countries for training in the latest hand surgery and microsurgery techniques. It also awards a specialized professional diploma accredited by the Supreme Council of Universities, reflecting Assiut University's pioneering role in this precise field. Following the inauguration, the university President inspected the various stages of the 2 projects, praising the quality of execution, the precision of the engineering work, and the achieved progress.
