During his visit to Aswan, Lieutenant General Eng. Kamel El Wazir - Minister of Transport visited Daraw Axis project, accompanied by Eng. Amr Lashin - Aswan Governor and Major General Mohamed Hassan - Head of the General Authority for Roads and Bridges. Representing the Arab Contractors Company which is implementing the project, were Eng. Sayed El Wazir - Vice Chairman, Eng. Hassan Ibraheem - Board Member, Eng. Yasser Sadek - Head of the Bridges and Ready-Mix Concrete Sector, Eng. Khaled Nassar - Manager of the Bridges and Specialized Structures Department, and Eng. Hossam Abdel Qader – Manager of Aswan Projects in the Bridges Department. It is worth mentioning that Daraw Axis on the Nile is 18 km long with 2 lanes in each direction and a width of 21 meters and consists of 9 industrial works including (7 bridges and 2 tunnels). The minister thanked the project workers and called for intensifying work around the clock to expedite completion, especially given the importance of the axis in linking the eastern agricultural road (Cairo-Aswan) to the western desert road (Cairo-Aswan), crossing the Nile River and the western agricultural road (Cairo-Aswan).
