The Arab Contractors Company signed 2 agreements with the Jordanian Ministry of Water and Irrigation to implement wastewater projects in southwest Amman. The agreements were signed by Jordanian Minister of Water and Irrigation, Eng. Raed Abu Al-Saud, and Eng. Ahmed El Assar – Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed El Adalani - AC Board Member; Eng. Sufian Al Batayneh - Secretary General of the Water Authority; Eng. Abdul Haq Ahmed Al Sawi - Manager of the company's Jordan branch; and a number of representatives from the Jordanian water sector. These agreements are an extension of the strong partnership between the Arab Contractors Company and the Jordanian government, and support government efforts to improve services provided to citizens, within the framework of the economic modernization vision and the 2023-2040 water sector plans. The Minister of Water and Irrigation indicated that the government, through the Ministry and the Water Authority, is exerting its utmost efforts to implement a package of vital projects aimed at providing services to citizens at the highest standards. He explained that the first and second phases will include the implementation of wastewater networks to serve parts of Marj Al Hamam and Na'ur districts in southwest Amman, with diameters ranging from 300 to 600 mm and a length of 32 kilometers. They will also include the implementation of 5 kilometers of household connections and the rehabilitation of 2 kilometers of the Wadi Al Seer pipeline to improve wastewater services in southwest Amman and enhance the environmental level in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. He emphasized that the Ministry is striving to cover most areas of the Kingdom with wastewater services. For his part, Eng. Ahmed El Assar expressed the company's welcome of cooperation with the Jordanian government and the company's return to Jordan after approximately twenty years. He affirmed the company's commitment to implementing these projects according to the highest quality standards and adhering to the time schedules, reflecting its extensive experience in Jordan since 1966. At the conclusion of the signing ceremony, the Minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Arab Contractors Company for its efforts in implementing high-quality service projects in the Kingdom.
