In grand ceremony, Eng. Belqassem Khalifa Haftar – General Director of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund inaugurated the (Balkhodor) Bridge located at the southwestern entrance to the city of Derna, as well as the (Wadi Bou AlMahboul) Bridge linking the cities of Derna and Susa, in the presence of the city’s dignitaries and a number of officials and representatives of the city’s service, security and voluntary institutions, and in the presence of Eng. Anas Mohammed Al Sagheer - Head of the Sector Supervising the Company’s Branch in Libya, Eng. Moubarak Mansour - Head of the Sector and Manager of the Company’s Branch, and all the leaders and employees of the company’s branch. The two projects implemented by the Arab Contractors in Libya are part of a package of projects in the city of Derna and other cities and regions affected by Hurricane Daniel. These two projects represent an important step in improving infrastructure and facilitating movement between cities, in line with the Fund’s efforts to support development. This opening comes within the framework of the strategic plan developed by the General Director, which aims to develop the infrastructure and enhance the road and bridge network, thus contributing to improving traffic flow and supporting the urban renaissance witnessed by the city. Balkhodor Bridge Project is a vital project that embodies the Fund’s vision for the Reconstruction of Derna and build the foundations for integrated and sustainable development, affirming the Fund’s commitment to continuing its work to implement projects according to the highest technical and engineering standards.
