Arab Contractors signs 5 new contracts in Tobruk, Libya

Eng. Ahmed El Assar - Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, and Eng. Belqassem Khalifa Haftar – General Director of the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund, signed 5 contracts for projects in the Libyan city of Tobruk, in the presence of Eng. Hassan Mustafa – Senior Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, and Mr. Faraj Bualkhatabieh - Mayor of Tobruk. The projects included the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in the city of Al-Marj with a capacity of 54,000 m3, and the project includes the construction of a pumping station and a 5 km long force main. The second project is the construction of a wastewater treatment plant in the city of Tobruk with a capacity of 50,000 m3, and the rehabilitation of a pumping station and force mains. The contracts included development and upgrading works for Ras Hilal-Al Qobba road, with a length of 16 km, including the industrial works necessary to protect the road from floods, a project to build a bridge at the entrance of Al Qobba, with a length of 300 meters, and a project to upgrade the road in Al-Wardiya. The signing ceremony was attended by Eng. Anas Mohammed Al Sagheer - Head of the Sector Supervising the Company’s Branch in Libya, and Eng. Moubarak Mansour - Head of the Sector and Branch Manager. These new projects are part of the company’s ongoing efforts in Libya, including in the city of Derna and areas affected by Hurricane Daniel. These projects include the construction of several bridges and roads as part of the urban development in Libya, undertaken by the Libyan Development and Reconstruction Fund to promote comprehensive development. During the signing ceremony, Eng. Belqassem Haftar praised the Arab Contractors Company’s ongoing efforts to implement completed and ongoing projects, affirming his confidence in the company’s extensive experience. For his part, Eng. Ahmed El Assar thanked Eng. Belqassem Haftar for his confidence in the company, noting that Arab Contractors will spare no effort in implementing projects in Libya with the highest standards and according to the time schedule. He emphasized the company’s commitment to continue working on the development projects in Libya, building on the company’s history and achievements there, which began in 1966.
