Mr. Nyesom Wike - The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, inaugurated Wuye District Infrastructure Project. The inauguration was attended by Dr. Mariya Mahmoud - Minister of State FCT, Eng. Mohammed El Edaros - Managing Director of the Arab Contractors Nigeria limited, Eng. Wael Farouk - General Manager of the company, Eng. Sameh Moustafa - Manager of Abuja Sector; and a number of senior state officials.
During the inauguration, the Minister of the Federal Capital expressed his appreciation to the Arab Contractors for successfully completing the project and for its commitment to completing the work despite the challenges. He affirmed the Federal Capital’s administration’s keenness to continue cooperating with the company on future projects.
It is worth noting that the project includes the implementation of infrastructure works for “Wute” District on a total area of approximately 1,000 feddans. The works included the construction of main and access roads with a length of 37 km, a flyover bridge and 2 river bridges, drinking water networks with a length of 37 km, wastewater networks with a length of 39 km, stormwater drainage networks with a length of 55 km, electricity networks including 2 power substations, 90 transformers and 1,300 lighting poles, and the implementation of the infrastructure for telecommunications networks with a length of 77 km.
