Arab Contractors participates in the Egyptian-Mauritanian Joint Committee

The Arab Contractors Company participated in the activities of the second session of the Egyptian-Mauritanian Joint Committee, which was held in the capital, Nouakchott. The official Egyptian delegation participating in the committee's work was headed by Dr. Badr Abdel Aati - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, while the Mauritanian side was headed by Dr. Mohamed Salem Ould Merzouk - Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Mauritanians Abroad. The Mauritanian delegation included Mr. Kodioro Moussa Ankenor - Minister of Economy and Finance in charge of the Budget, and Mr. Ely Ould El Veirick - Minister of Equipment and Transport. The meetings witnessed the signing of 13 agreements and memoranda of understanding with the Mauritanian side in vital areas, most notably transportation, higher education, water resources, social affairs, and investment. Among these agreements was the extension of the Nouakchott Tramway Project which was signed by Eng. Sayed El Wazir - Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Mohamed Abdelhamid Taya - Ambassador of Egypt to Mauritania and Mr. Sayed El Husseini - the Financial Director. The participation of the Arab Contractors comes as a national entity with a long history and solid experience in implementing infrastructure and development projects in Africa. During the forum, Eng.Lubna Shatla - Manager of Business Development, Strategic Studies & Marketing held a series of fruitful meetings with a number of Mauritanian seniorofficials and representatives of companies and banks, in addition torepresentatives of a number of international companies interested in investingin the Mauritanian market, most notably the National Industrial and MiningCompany (SNIM), Go Gas Holding Company, and Attijariwafa Bank Mauritanie. During these meetings,Eng. Lubna Shatla reviewed the extensive technical and engineering capabilitiesof Arab Contractors, one of the largest contracting companies in the MiddleEast and Africa, with a proven track record of success in implementing majorinfrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, dams, water and wastewaternetworks, and airports, in addition to energy, housing, and public utilitiesprojects. Eng. Lubna alsohighlighted Arab Contractors' strong and effective presence in many Africancountries, its accumulated experience operating in diverse geographicenvironments, and its ability to implement complex projects in accordance withthe highest international standards. This makes it an ideal partner in drivingdevelopment and promoting economic integration on the African continent. Besides, she emphasizedon the company keenness to opening new horizons for joint cooperation withMauritanian authorities, contributing to supporting sustainable developmentefforts and enhancing opportunities for economic partnerships between the twosides.
