Eng. Abdel Muttalib Emara - Governor of Luxor, today inaugurated the main sewage pumping station in the village of Al Raziqat Qibli in Armant. The station has a capacity of 220 L/Sec., serving approximately 16,000 residents of the village, as part of the presidential "Decent Life" initiative.
The inauguration marked the actual operation of the station and its entry into service, along with the operation of its associated wastewater networks, which aim to improve the services level provided to the village's residents.
The event was attended by Ruqayya Hammad - Head of the Construction Authority for Potable Water and Wastewater in Luxor, Eng. Abdullah Bakri – Construction Manager at the Authority, Major General Eng. Ahmed Mohamed Ramadan - Chairman of Luxor Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, and Brigadier General Ahmed El Hawari - Head of Armant Center and City.
The opening was attended by Yasser Mahsoub - Head of South Valley and Red Sea Sector at the Arab Contractors Company “the contractor”, Eng. Mansour Shehata – Manager of South Valley Branch, Eng. Mohamed Hassan El Adisi - Deputy Branch Manager and Supervisor of Luxor Governorate Projects; and Eng. Ahmed Abdel Nasser - Manager of Luxor and Armant Projects.
The project includes a force main with 450 mm diameter and 1 km long, a 7.9 km gravity network. It is part of the state's efforts to improve infrastructure and raise the standard of living for citizens in the vulnerable villages.
