For the second time respectively, the Arab Contractors Company won the award for the best contracting company for 2023 in Tanzania in the field of hydropower projects for its work on Julius Nyerere Hydropower Plant & Dam Project. The company received an award from the East Africa Building and Construction Awards, which aim to promote innovative methods, construction quality, and competitiveness in all fields of building and construction in East Africa Region. The East Africa Building and Construction Awards is a wide-ranging platform specialized in construction products and services.
The award for Arab Contractors Tanzania Ltd. was received by Eng. Ahmed Dessouki - Manager of Arab Contractors Tanzania at the awards ceremony held in the capital, Dar es Salaam, in the presence of representatives of African companies participating in 20 categories that include contracting works, cement industry, consulting offices, technology, and other categories.
This honor is an appreciation of the role played by the company in Tanzania and its implementation of many projects, most notably Julius Nyerere Hydropower Plant & Dam Project, which is implemented by the Egyptian JV "the Arab Contractors Company and El Sewedy Electric Company" on Rufiji River.
