Eng. Sayed Farouk – CEO and President of the Arab Contractors Company declared that the works are condensed to accomplish El Sharqawiya Higher Bridge in West Shoubra El Kheima within the next Ramadan month. He pointed out that the pilot operation for the direction from Meet Nama to Shoubra El Kheima to facilitate the service for the citizens. This was in the presence of Eng. Osama Nawar – Manager of Dredging Department, Eng. Mohamed Amin – Manager of the Internal Roads, Eng. Hisham Aly – Deputy Manager of the Dredging Department and Eng. Amr El Naggar – Project Manager. It is noteworthy that the bridge is serving about 3 million inhabitants from Shoubra El Kheima and its surroundings in Qalioupia governorate. It links directly between the east railway and El Sharqawiya on the agricultural road. It will decrease the traffic congestion at Ahmed Orabi Bridge and abolish the traffic jam on Cairo-Alexandria agriculture road. Its length is 2km including the inlets and outlets. The bridge’s length from Meet Nama to the agriculture road-Shoubra El Kheima reached about 670m. The length of the bridge from the agriculture road-Shoubra El Kheima to Meet Nama reached 600m and its width is 9m.
