Eng. Sayed Farook – CEO and President of the Arab Contractors Company inspected Monorail Project – 6th of October City Line. He was accompanied by Eng. Ibrahim Mabrouk – AC Board Member and Eng. Mohamed Ramadan - Project Managing Director who declared that the project is serving the huge expansions in 6th of October City. It extends to Giza with a length of 42km. The project is a modern mass transit for the first time in Egypt. The monorail is a railway in which the track consists of a single rail on straddle concrete beam. It achieves a journey time equal to the time of the car's journey without stopping. The project includes 12 stations: New October - Industrial Area – El Saddat – 6th of October City Authority – Engineers Association – Nile University – Hyper One – Cairo/Alexandria Desert Road - Mansoureya – Maryotea - Ring Road – Wadi El Nile; in addition to the Depot location near the Industrial Area of 80 feddans approximately. The Chairman inspected the development project of El Wahat Main Road in 6th of October City. He was accompanied by Eng. Ihab Gamal – Project Management Director and Eng. Hany Zaki – Deputy Manager of Bridges and Specialized Structures Department who declared that the project includes a tunnel with 800m length serving the comer from El Wahat Road heading to the Ring Road. Besides, it includes a bridge with 800m length that serves the comer from the Ring Road heading to El Wahat/El Fayoum Road. He pointed out that the project total cost is 800 million EGP and considered part of the development project of the main axes in 6th of October City.
