Ugandan President inaugurates Kayunga Hospital after its implementation by the Arab Contractors

President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Museveni inaugurated the rehabilitation and expansion of Kayunga Hospital in Uganda that the Arab Contractors Company has accomplished its construction and rehabilitation works. Eng. Sayed Farouk – CEO and President of the Arab Contractors Company stated that the project total capacity after the rehabilitation reaches 300 beds from 100 beds before. The hospital has many new buildings: the main building which built upon 5500m2 and includes the outpatients’ clinics, administrative offices, laboratories, radiology building, pharmacies and blood bank; the new wards’ building built upon 2100m2, 8 new buildings for the accommodation of doctors and the staff, generators and transformers building, 2 external kitchens and other services buildings annexed to the hospital. In addition to the landscape works includes new roads, afforestation works and networks of water, sewage and electricity. Besides; the rehabilitation of 6 existing medical and administrative buildings and 25 buildings for the accommodation of doctors and the staff of the hospital. Eng. Sayed Farouk declared that Ugandan Vice President Edward Sekandi has awarded the Arab Contractors Company the best contracting company prize for the third time consecutively. Eng. Mohamed Tolba – Managing Director of the Ugandan Arab Contractors Company added that the company is carrying out a number of road projects which includes: Pallisa-Kamankoli Road, Masaka-Boukakata Road and Pallisa-Koomi Road; in addition to the rehabilitation of one of the medicine factories in Kampala.
