The Association of Graduates of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, headed by Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr - the Former Minister of Local Development honored a number of public and leading figures from the faculty of Engineering's graduates who provided services to the country, the faculty and the association. The honorees were led by Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab – the Former Prime Minister and the Honorary Chairman for the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Sherief Ismail – the Presidential Assistant for the national Projects and the Former Prime Minister, Dr. Mohammed Said El Aasar – the Minister for Military Production, Eng. Hisham Arafat – Minister of Transport, Eng. Mohsen Salah – Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Adel Ayoub – the Former Senior Vice President for the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Osama Shawki – the Former Vice President of the Arab Contractors Company, the Former Chief of the Syndicate of Cairo Engineers and the member of the 50 Committee to write the constitution. The honorees list included a number of the former ministers whom graduated from the Faculty of Engineering - Ain Shams University, for example: Eng. Ahmed Zaki Abadeen – the Governor of Kafr El Sheikh and the Former Minister of Local Development, Chairman of the New Administrative Capital's Company, Dr. Yousry EL Gaml – the Former Minister of Education, Dr. Fathi El Baradai – the Former Minister of Housing, Dr. Maged George – the Former Minister of Environment, Dr. Mahmoud Aboul Nasr – the Former Minister of Education, Dr. Ibrahim El Demeery – the Former Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Dr. Hassan Younis – the Former Minister of Electricity, Eng. Hussein El Masoud – the Former Minister of Aviation, Dr. Abdel Qawi Khalifa – the Former Minister of Water and Wastewater, Dr. Sherief Hammad – the Former Minister of Scientific Researches and Dr. Osama Hamdy Abdel Wahed – the Former Governor of Kafr El Sheikh. Besides, the honoring of Eng. Hany Dahi – the Head of Engineers' Syndicate, Eng. Tarek El Nabarawy – the Former Head of Engineers' Syndicate, Eng. Hassan Abdel Aziz – Chairman of the Egyptian Federation for the Building and Construction Contractors and Eng. Tarek Qabeel – the Former Minister of Industry. In addition to the honoring of a number of the deans of the Facaulty of Engineering – Ain Shams University: Dr. Mohammed El Tokhi, Dr. Adel Helmy Salem, Dr. Mohammed Shoaera, Dr. Adel Hagag, Dr. Hadiya El Henawy, Dr. Aly Sherief, besides the honoring of Eng. Tamer Wagih, Dr. Hassan Osman, Eng. Mohammed El Hayatemy and Eng. Ahmed Afifi. The honoring included the engineering company which sponsor the ceremony led by the Arab Contractors Company. The ceremony was on Thursday 31 January 2019 in the theater of the Engineers Syndicate and attended by more than a thousand engineers and their families. The great singer Medhat Saleh performed the ceremony accompanied by his band and the artist Amr Selim.
