On his 1st field trip to Upper Egypt Governorates, the Prime Minister and 4 Ministers were Following Up the National Projects in Assiut

On his 1st field trip to Upper Egypt Governorates, Prime Minister and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Dr. Moustafa Madbouli toured Assiut governorate which comes within the instructions of H.H. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to pay more concern towards Upper Egypt Governorates and elevate the level of the provided services for the citizens all over Egypt from its Upper to the Delta. This was in the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghafar – Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Researches, Gen. Mahmoud Shaarawy – Minister of Local Development, Dr. Tarek Shawki – Minister of Education, Dr. Yasmine Fouad – Minister of Enviroment, Gen. Gamal Nour El Din – Assiut Governor and Eng. Mohsen Salah – Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company.
The Prime Minister started his tour by visiting the construction project of Assiut Plateau Axis Road; he viewed the execution works of the Two-Way Road which divides the plateau with a length of 22.6km; it is to connect between Assiut and many regional roads and the most prominent of them are Cairo/Assiut Western Desert Road and Assiut Ring Road which includes the construction of the Darnka Higher Bridge with 1.8km length and the project is awarded to the Arab Contractors Company. The Prime Minister inquires about the completion date of the road and Eng. Mohsen Salah confirmed that it will be completed by the end of the next January. It is divided into 2 traffic lanes; each one of them is 7.5m width, in addition to a middle island. It will be executed according to all the safety and security methods with a cost of 932 million EGP including the expropriation works. Then, the Prime Minister inspected the Injuries and Burns Hospital which is under construction in Assiut University and executed by the AC Company with a total value 300 million EGP. The hospital project includes the followings: a ground floor – a basement – 8 typical floors – 18 operation theaters – 487 beds – 11 Intensive Care wards – 3 recovery wards – outpatient clinics and radiology departments – clinic pathology lab – blood bank – doctors' rests department – conferences halls –administrative and services offices. The Prime Minister called the Minister of Planning and agreed upon providing 70 million EGP to this year plan for this hospital, he gave his instruction that the Arab Contractors Company will carry out this work with fastness and quality of execution after providing the required finance to be accomplished by the next year to serve millions of Upper Egypt's inhabitants and save the life of the accidents and emergencies' patients whom frequently went to Assiut Educational Hospital. The prime minister and his accompanied delegation inspected El Walidya Filtered Water Station which executed by the AC in Mansheat El Azhar in El Walidya District in Assiut built upon 7 feddans with a capacity of 600 l. /sec. (equivalent to 51000 l3/day) and contributing to the water feeding for Assiut's surroundings in addition to El Walidya District and 9 villages North of Assiut Center; 211000 persons benefits from it. The length of the networks is 36km with a total cost 250 million EGP. They were accompanied with a number preliminaries in the governorate, heads of the relevant bodies and authorities; Eng. Sayed Farouk – Senior Vice Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company, Eng. Tarek Saqr – Board Member, Eng. Samir Saad Allah – Head of Sectors, Eng. Maher Abdel Tawab – Manager of Assiut Branch which executing the project.
