President Abdel Fattah El Sisi Inaugurated the Middle Road in Sharm El Sheikh and Qous Cross Bridge in Qena

H.H. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inaugurated through the video conference the Middle Road "Ibn Sina" in Sharm El Sheikh and Qous Cross Bridge in Qena  which executed by the Arab Contractors Company. Eng. Mubarak Mansour – Head of Sector and Manager of Sinai Branch stated that the project is about a middle road in Sharm El Sheikh starting from the Olympic Village in El Nour district to El Sallam Square with a total length 12km and 33m width and a total cost 120 million EGP. Eng. Yasser Mahsoub – Head of Sector supervising South Sinai Projects pointed out that it is including the services road, bikes road and concrete slabs pavements. It is considered a model touristic road from the 1st class. It is designed according to the latest international standard. Eng. Hany Kamal Abdel Latif – Project Managers of the Bridges Department which executing the project works declared that Qous Cross Bridge in Qena  is consisting of an upper bridge above cair-aswan railway with a total length 975m and 7.3m width for each side. Its construction system is box-section which includes 2 steel beams on the railway that the 1st direction is upward El Nasr Road Street and Downward El Gomhouria Street; the 2nd direction is upward Abdel Monaim Riad Street and Downward El Nasr Road Street. Each direction includes 2 lanes and the project total value is 45 million EGP.  Eng. Mohammed Soliman – the Construction Manager of the Project and Eng. Mohammed Abdel Rehim – the Technical Manager declared that the objectives of the bridge construction is to overcome the traffic resulting from the railway cross and to connect between the East and West of the city, achieving the traffic facility, to eliminate the highest incidents of trains and its crashes with the vehicles crossing the railway cross, facilitate the transport of the raw materials and products to and from the Sugar Factory in the city and save time and fuel. In addition to these, the project is considered a cultural dimension of the city adding to its historical value by developing, beautifying and replanning of its main square.
